This handmade .925 sterling silver split shank ring features a shark coprolite -- AKA fossil poop! The coprolite has been cut and polished into an oval cabochon. The colors are a rich amber honey brown with black varigated areas.

The stone has been set in a serrated bezel and surrounded by a beaded wire. It has a wide band for comfort.

The ring measures .89 inches long by .82 inches wide. The inner diameter is .75 inches. It is a size 9.75.

The fossilized poop is millions of years old and was collected locally in Charleston, South Carolina.  It takes very specific conditions for these to fossilize, making them not only a novelty, but also a bit harder to find.
 
No one need know you're wearing shark poop, unless you tell them. But it's also a great conversation starter wrapped up in one unique piece of jewelry, so why not?
